About This Game

Two players, one phone, one sheet of ice. The house sits dead centre and each player throws from their own end — eight stones apiece, sixteen in all, strictly alternating. Pull back anywhere on your half to aim and load power, and a dotted line shows exactly where the stone will come to rest, so the throw is a decision rather than a guess.

Everything after the release is where it gets interesting. Rub the ice ahead of the running stone to shave off friction and squeeze out up to a quarter more distance, or rub beside it to nudge it left or right through the traffic.

Stones collide like real granite, so a heavy shot can blast a rival off the button while a soft one tucks in and freezes. Stop short of the red hog line and your stone is swept away; sail past the back line and it is gone too.

When the last stone settles, whoever owns the rock closest to the button counts every stone they hold inside the house ahead of the opponent's best one. A single end decides it, and the hammer — the last throw, and the biggest edge in curling — changes hands every time you play again.
