Every nap lasts a different length, so you are reading the dragon itself rather than memorizing a rhythm. Get caught mid-step and your paw bounces back about a tenth of the course with a brief stun — though each glance can only catch you once, so a single slip never snowballs into disaster.

Rounds stay short at 25 seconds most, and from the 18-second mark both paws creep almost 40% faster, turning the finale into a test of composure.
